Woodpecker Log Feeder

This is a simple log feeder that can be made very easily. Start with a log aprox. 4"-5" diameter and 2-3 feet long. Drill multiple holes along the length of the log. You can either mount the log to a board and mount it to a horizontal surface (as shown) or using a screw-eye and some wire, hang it from a branch. Fill the holes you drilled with a peanut-butter mixture and enjoy.

Peanut-Butter Mixture
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup whole oats
1 cup chopped peanuts
1 cup cracked corn
1 Tbsp sugar
mix in enough peanut butter untill the mixture is "spreadable"
