Latin Name: Hyla versicolor or Hyla chrysoscelis

Size: 1¼ - 2 in.

Facts: The Gray Treefrog is the only true treefrog found in WNY. Usually found in small trees & shrubs near or in standing water Although they physically look the same, Hyla versicolor has twice the chromosomes as Hyla chrysoscelis Color variable but usually gray or green Look for light spot below eye and undersides of hind legs bright orange or yellow Bright Yellow Underleg Markings
